15 Dec Lonely Planet Ireland Cover
I finally managed to land the front cover of the Lonely Planet Ireland guide. I was even in the Lonely Planet office in Melbourne about 10 years ago when they were selecting the cover and saw one of my shots mocked up and ready to go – but to my disappointment they went with another option. However when I submitted this image I was sure it would make a good cover – in fact I often compose and shoot verticals with covers in mind. This is a location where you almost never fail to come away with an interesting shot. The combination of foreground elements leading into Classie Bawn castle perched on the hill, makes it one of the best coastal photo locations in Ireland.
