Glacier National Park, Montana, USA
Glacier National Park covers some 1583 square miles along the USA-Canadian border. Extending along the mountainous backbone of the Continental Divide, it's an important biosphere in terms of fauna and flora. I had several close encounters with grizzly bears while exploring the park's trails. The alpine scenery is particularly colourful in summer, when wildflower meadows such as this one beneath Logan Pass offset the jagged peaks.
