Matterhorn Reflection, Switzerland

The iconic profile of the 4478m-high Matterhorn makes it one of the most famous mountains in the Alps. After a night spent camping in sub-zero temperatures, I was rewarded with clear skies and morning sun. The wind also co-operated and the small lake of the Riffelsee was perfectly still. I composed several dawn shots of the reflection before firing up the stove to make a warming mug of tea.
