Lake Lousie in Banff National Park is something of a contradiction. On one hand it is a place of exquisite natural beauty, with opaque turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks. On the other hand it is also home to a massive modern hotel. Yet on those elusive mornings when the light and wind conspire to produce conditions such as these, nothing can detract from the natural surrounds.
