Glenveagh National Park, Donegal
I was drawn to this scene in Glenveagh National Park by the strong diagonal alignment of the landscape. The lone tree was the only large plant visible on the boggy winter hillsides, and it had been twisted by the harsh winds that sweep up the valley. I composed during a moment of soft evening light, emphasising the stream's course towards the distant lake. I then began the long walk home in the dark.
